Wanju County Education Integrated Support Center (Director Lim Sung-hee) successfully completed all stages of the '2025 New Sports Coach Capacity Enhancement Support Project' in mid-September and held a completion ceremony. The project took place from August 23 to September, lasting about a month, with the participation of 15 Wanju County village instructors, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their on-site tailored new sports coaching skills.

This training focused on not just staying at a simple physical activity training level but on cultivating practical coaching skills that village instructors can directly utilize in educational settings. The educational program was centered around four main goals: ▲ improving rhythm and body coordination ▲ cultivating the ability to design customized lessons based on age and level ▲ enhancing the self-expression and leadership of coaches ▲ promoting healthy sports programs.

In particular, it is noteworthy that a process was set up for instructors to design and practice educational content actively rather than passively participating in the training. Participants developed programs that could be immediately applied in the field using various new sports equipment and teaching materials, thereby securing the ability to conduct more creative and engaging sports lessons for elementary, middle, and high school students.

The center expressed its expectation that the village instructors who completed this course will establish themselves as educational partners who lead students' physical growth and emotional development simultaneously, rather than just being conveyors of simple sports activities. The center also stated that it will continue to provide on-site tailored training and program development to support the ongoing growth of the instructors.

The New Sports Coach Capacity Enhancement Support Project is being operated as part of the Wanju County Education Development Special Zone Project.
