Jeonju City will continue the festive spirit with a variety of events in October, following the conclusion of the '2025 Jeonju Reading Festival' and 'Jeonju Festa 2025'.
On the 18th, the city announced that a series of rich events will take place starting from October 2 with the opening of the Jeonju International Hanji Industry Expo, leading up to the Jeonju Makgeolli Festival on the 31st.
Firstly, the Jeonju International Hanji Industry Expo, taking place from October 2 to 4 at the Korean Traditional Culture Center, will showcase the modern utilization potential of Hanji through various programs such as an international Hanji fashion show, Hanji craft demonstrations, and craft experiences under the slogan 'This is Hanji'. Special programs like the 'Small Hanji House', 'Hanji Sports Day', and the 'National Hanji Craft Competition' are also prepared to attract attention.
Following that, the Jeonju Arts Festival will be held from October 17 to 19 at Palbok Art Factory, featuring street performances by 31 teams, public art projects, art auctions, flea markets, and creating a space where citizens and artists come together under the slogan 'Leap! Jeonju, Resonate! Arts Festival'.
From October 24 to 26 at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, the Jeonju Bibimbap Festival will take place, offering over 20 programs including a large-scale Bibimbap performance, a retro Bibimbap street, Bibimbap Friends pop-up store, and on the opening day, a multimedia show with Olympic bid wishes and performances by popular singers.
The grand finale will be the Jeonju Makgeolli Festival on October 31 at Jeonju Vision University's Daewoongjang Stadium. Local businesses, including those in Samcheon-dong Makgeolli Alley, will showcase Jeonju and Wanju Makgeolli with various side dishes, providing differentiated entertainment through programs like 'MZ Makgeolli Zone' targeting the MZ generation and a traditional liquor museum-related program.
Additionally, traditional cultural programs will continue at Jeonju Hanok Village, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, and Pungnammun Gate, including the Jeonju National Heritage Night Tour (2nd round), Jeonbuk Intangible Cultural Heritage Public Event, Omokdae Feast, and at Gyeonggijeon Shrine, permanent programs like 'King's Paper, Memories of Joseon', 'Changing of the Royal Guards Ceremony', and 'Stroll with the King' will welcome citizens and tourists.
