The Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (Representative Director Choi Rak-gi) will be hosting the "Hanji-gol Hangawi Hanmadang" at the Jeonju Millennium Hanji Center for four days from October 2nd to 5th, in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

This event is planned to provide a cultural space where citizens and tourists can enjoy together by reflecting on the meaning of traditional holidays and engaging in various experiences and activities using hanji (traditional Korean paper).

The "Hanji-gol Hangawi Hanmadang" will operate with experiential programs and ongoing participatory programs that anyone of all ages can enjoy, and participation is free of charge. Participants can naturally learn and experience the value of traditional culture through the process of making and utilizing hanji.

Key programs include traditional hanji making experience, self-made hanji crafts, making wishes on millennium hanji, random.gif'>t draws, traditional game experiences, and more. The "traditional hanji making experience" and "self-made hanji crafts" require advance reservation (open to elementary school students and above), while ongoing programs can be freely participated in on-site.

Choi Rak-gi, the representative director of the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation, stated, "We have prepared various experiences using hanji at the cultural hub representing Jeonju" and expressed hopes that it will be a time for local residents and tourists to enjoy together and feel the preciousness of traditional culture.
