The Jeonbuk Provincial Art Museum (Director Lee Ae-seon) announced on the 2nd that they had successfully carried out the residency-based public art tour program .
is an expanded version of the Jeonbuk Art Week project that was launched as a pilot project in September last year, a collaborative project prepared by seven public art museums in Jeonbuk Province. The program consisted of a stamp tour and a 1-night 2-day residency-based public art tour, creating a welcoming space through a cooperative project that respects and harmonizes the unique values of each region through art.
Participants took part in exhibition tours and related experiences, visited nearby tourist attractions, and experienced the beauty of Jeollabuk Province's nature and culture in a comprehensive way. In particular, the 1-night 2-day public art tour provided an experiential fusion of art and tourism beyond just visiting art museums, including accommodation.
Director Lee Ae-seon said, "This program was carried out based on the joint meeting of provincial public art museums, and it not only provided out-of-province visitors with the opportunity to enjoy Jeonbuk Province's unique art but also contributed to expanding the population and activating regional tourism."
Additionally, the stamp tour, which was conducted simultaneously, is scheduled to be extended from October 3rd to 12th, during the Chuseok holiday period. Visitors who visit more than four of the provincial public art museums (Jeonbuk Provincial Art Museum, Kimje Byukcheon Art Museum, Namwon City Art Museum, Muju Choibuk Art Museum, Sunchang Okcheongol Art Museum, Iksan Art Center Art Museum, Jeongeup City Art Museum) can receive a souvenir after collecting stamp sheets.
