On the 11th, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held the '2025 Korean Language Grand Feast with Citizens' to commemorate the 579th anniversary of the creation of Hunminjeongeum and to reflect on the excellence and value of Hangul.

This event, held in conjunction with the 'World Calligraphy Jeonbuk Biennale' taking place at the Korean Sound Culture Center, further promoted the cultural value of Hangul.

At the event venue, excellent works from the adult literacy learners' letter writing and literacy education practitioner experience essay contest were exhibited, conveying the importance of learning Hangul. As a side event, there were experiences in writing wishes in Hangul calligraphy and a performance wishing for the inclusion of Hangul calligraphy in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The commemorative event included the presentation of ▲ Hangul merit awards, ▲ awards for the Hangul Grand Feast contest, ▲ viewing of short films on the excellence of Hangul, and a performance of the 'Hangul Day Song' by the Jeonbuk Provincial Traditional Music Institute's Children's Orchestra, providing a rich visual spectacle.

Following the commemorative ceremony, a 'Hangul Love Story Music Concert (Talk Concert)' was held with Professor Kim Jeong-bae and singer Lee Han-cheol. Under the theme of 'The Excellence of Hangul Through Culture and Arts,' the performance featured the viewing of contest-winning works, offering a meaningful time to share various experiences and thoughts related to Hangul.

Governor Kim Gwan-young stated, "With the immense popularity of Hallyu culture such as songs and dramas, Hangul is also receiving global attention," adding, "I hope that people will proudly consider Hangul as the identity and pride of our nation and use it correctly."
