The Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 youth team departed for Hangzhou, China on the 20th to participate in the '2025 Hangzhou Chen Zhao Cup' international youth tournament.

The '2025 Hangzhou Chen Zhao Cup' international youth tournament is hosted by the Hangzhou Sports Bureau in China and supported by the Hangzhou City. It will feature a total of 10 teams, including six overseas youth teams such as Olympique Lyonnais and AJ Auxerre from France, Urawa Red Diamonds and Reysol from Japan, Pakhtakor Tashkent from Uzbekistan, as well as the Chinese U14 national team, Shanghai Shenhua, and Changchun Yatai FC.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 youth team will compete against top youth players from around the world in this tournament, which consists of two groups of five teams each, from the 21st to the 26th.

The tournament format involves a round-robin group stage within each group followed by playoffs between teams of similar rankings from different groups.

On the 27th, in addition to the matches, there will also be a schedule for a youth soccer development forum to discuss mutual development among youth teams from various countries worldwide.

Jeonbuk Hyundai has been expanding the international experience of its youth teams by participating in events such as the 'Future Champions Cup' in China in July for the U13 team, the 'Nike Atletas Cup' in Japan in October for the U12 team, and now the 'Hangzhou Chen Zhao Cup' in China following training with PSV.

The club stated that they decided to participate in this tournament to put their philosophy of growth and learning into practice, hoping that the players will grow into global football talents through gaining valuable experiences.
