The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Joong-hyun) successfully concluded the Thursday regular performance series '2025 Gwanghanruwon Concert' at Gwanghanruwon, Namwon, a representative cultural heritage site. The concert, held in a stage where the dignity of traditional arts and the ambiance of nature harmonized, took place a total of nine times this year in spring and autumn, offering citizens and tourists a deep resonance of Korean traditional music and the fragrance of art.

This year's 'Gwanghanruwon Concert' opened with the clear melodies of daegeum and gayageum, featuring various Korean traditional music performances such as pansori "Chunhyangga," folk songs from the southern region, folk dance, short traditional operas, and object manipulation performances. The approximately 50-minute performance unfolded against the backdrop of Wanwoljeong Pavilion and the pond, blending the scenery of nature with the sensibility of art, deeply conveying the elegance and ambiance of Korean traditional music to the audience.

Director Kim Joong-hyun expressed, "It was meaningful to share the depth of traditional music within the history and nature of Gwanghanruwon," and stated, "The National Gugak Center will continue to present performances that harmonize cultural heritage and art based on professionalism and public service."

Meanwhile, the 'Gwanghanruwon Concert' is a regular performance series organized by the National Gugak Center to realize the popularization of Korean traditional music based on the dignity of cultural heritage, continuing as an open stage enjoyed by citizens and tourists annually. The National Gugak Center plans to further spread the beauty of Korean traditional music into daily life through various planned performances that reinterpret the value of traditional arts in a modern context.
