Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center announced that on the 25th of last month, they held an event called 'Jeonbuk Cheonrigil Walking Farm Tour - The Energy of Living and Breathing Mudflats and Life' for employees and trainees of the Local Autonomy Human Resources Development Institute.

This farm tour allowed participants to directly experience the Cheonrigil program, a representative ecotourism resource of Jeonbuk, in order to understand the ecological value of the region and apply it to future administrative practices or leisure activities. This on-site program, which aims to promote regional balanced development and mutual prosperity through collaboration between a national agency and the local community, was a meaningful opportunity.

The event took place in Byeonsan-myeon, Buan County, with 24 participants including employees and trainees walking a 5km section of the Jeonbuk Cheonrigil Trail 3 (Mohan Mudflat Experience Trail). Starting from Solseom (Jeonbuk Student Training Center), they walked through Sanggurilla Pension Village, Byeonsan Forest Training Center, the Mohang Village, and finally reached the Mohang Mudflat Experience Center, directly experiencing the ecology and vitality of the mudflats along the coast of Byeonsan Peninsula.

Participants listened to the policies of Jeonbuk's ecotourism and examples of Cheonrigil operation, engaged in nature and culture-based experiential activities such as walking through the Naesosa Pine Forest Trail and exploring the Cheongja Museum, reflecting on the meaning of ecotourism.

This program, initiated by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province for collaboration with the Local Autonomy Human Resources Development Institute, is expected to evolve into a mutual prosperity model utilizing regional resources through cooperation between national agencies and local governments.

Han Soon-ok, the head of the Carbon Neutrality Policy Division of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, stated, "This farm tour provided a meaningful time for trainees from across the country to directly experience the nature, people, and culture of Jeonbuk and understand the value of the region," adding, "We will continue to work together with national agencies and local governments to revitalize ecotourism in the region and create exemplary cases of sustainable regional balanced development."

Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center plans to establish a sustainable exchange platform for trainees and employees visiting the Local Autonomy Human Resources Development Institute from various regions nationwide to participate in Jeonbuk's Cheonrigil and ecotourism sites following this program.
