"Hyangchon Literary Society Holds Successful Publication Ceremony and Awards Ceremony for 'The Four Seasons of Hyangchon'"

On November 15th at 1:30 PM, at the International Conference Hall of the Korean Sound Culture Center, the Hyangchon Literature Society (President Jung Sung-soo) held a ceremony to commemorate the publication of the 36th issue of their 38th-anniversary founding, titled "Seasons of Hyangchon," with a poetry recitation and awards ceremony. The event, hosted by poet Ha Song, began with a recitation of the poem "Invitation" by reciter Lee Hyun-sook, followed by a performance of the song "The Sound of the Hidden Crying Wind" by vocalist Choi Gyu-chun, a recitation of the poem "Harmony" by Son Hyo-seong, and other musical performances.

During the congratulatory speeches, Ulsan Metropolitan Daily's representative, Yoo Jung-jae, novelist and President of the Toji Literature Society, Park Hyun-sik, and Kim Chung-nam, President of the Korean Literature and Arts Association, shared their thoughts on the development of the Hyangchon Literature Society, social support for writers, and literary perspectives.

The awards ceremony included the 19th Hyangchon Literature Award in poetry, which was awarded to Moon Jeon-ja (Grand Prize), and others. The 9th National Women's Literature Award in poetry was awarded to Park Yang-soon (Grand Prize), and the 25th National Filial Piety Literature Award in poetry was bestowed upon Nam Hye-ran (Grand Prize).

In the category of simultaneous writing by elementary school students and their mothers for 25 years, Jeonju Yongsu Elementary School was selected, with six lower-grade students and eight upper-grade students winning awards alongside their mothers.

In the 30th Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Elementary School Simultaneous Writing Contest, Kim Tae-yoon from Jeonju Jigok Elementary School (6th grade), Park So-min from Jeonju Munjeong Elementary School (5th grade), Kim Yu-geon from Jeonju Songcheon Elementary School (1st grade), and Kim Do-hee from Jeonju Songwon Elementary School (3rd grade) received the Grand Prize.

The representative speech on behalf of the awardees was delivered by poet Im Jeong-bong. In his closing remarks, President Jung Sung-soo expressed his determination to make every effort to ensure the smooth progress of the Hyangchon Literature Society's 8 major projects in 2026, receiving a warm round of applause from the guests and awardees.
