Jeonbuk Hyundai U18 Wins Jeonbuk Football Association President's Cup with 15 Wins and 12 Teams

Jeonbuk Hyundai Youth Team wrapped up the 2025 season by proving themselves as the strongest in youth football in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai Youth Team claimed victory in all age groups of the 'Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Superintendent's Cup and Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Football Association Chairman's Cup' football tournament.

The tournament, held in the Jeonju Wan-san Sports Park area from the 15th, saw Jeonbuk Hyundai U18 Jeonju Youngsaeng High School (Principal Lee Jang-hoon, hereinafter Jeonbuk Hyundai U18), Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 Dongdae Busok Geumsan Middle School (Principal Im Wan-jin, hereinafter Jeonbuk Hyundai U15), and Jeonbuk Hyundai U12 teams all emerge victorious in the finals on the 23rd, achieving a consecutive 2-year championship following last year.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai U18 team met Shin Tae-in Football Center in the quarterfinals with an 8-1 victory, defeated Jeonju High School 3-1 in the semifinals, and advanced to the finals where they faced Iri High School.

In the final match, after Park Do-hyun's opening goal and additional goal by No Hyeon-jun, the Jeonbuk U18 team led the game 2-0 but allowed a late goal in the second half, ultimately securing victory with a 2-1 score.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 team also defeated Kimje DCT and Haeseong FC U15 in the quarterfinals (8-0) and semifinals (6-1) respectively, before facing off against Gangho Wanju FC in the final.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 fiercely contested the first half against Wanju FC, but their sharp attacking prowess in the second half led to consecutive goals, securing the championship.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai U12 team, riding on the momentum of their youth counterparts, dominated their opponents from the 11th round onwards.

After a 6-0 victory against Jeonju Vision in the 11th round and an impressive 10-0 win against Sports Jay in the quarterfinals, they defeated Jochon FC 6-3 in the semifinals to advance to the final.

In the final match, they secured a close 5-3 victory against JLFC, becoming the ultimate champions. The Jeonbuk Hyundai U12 team has been consistently winning this tournament since 2020, achieving a 6-year consecutive victory this year.

Head Coach Lee Do-hyun expressed his joy, stating, "I am pleased that all teams achieved good results and performances in the competition that marks the end of the youth team's season," adding, "Especially this year, our youth teams had a time of growth through learning and experiences, and it was a time where they could fully demonstrate their abilities."
