One of the five main types of pansori, "Sugungga," meets the audience with the unique, solid, and powerful voice of Jung Kwang-soo.
The Woojin Cultural Foundation announced that on the 7th at 2 p.m., at the Woojin Cultural Space Art Theater in Jeonju, they will present singer Choi Kyung-hee's "Jung Kwang-soo's Sugungga" as the ninth performance in the series "Pansori Five Types with Commentary."
This performance will deeply illuminate the aesthetics of "Sugungga," which uses the world of animals to unravel the contradictions and satire of human life.
In particular, it is expected that the strong and solid vocal technique of Jung Kwang-soo will convey a deep impression to the audience by revealing the development of events and the characters in a three-dimensional manner.
On stage, the master Lee Sang-ho will be in charge of the rhythm, and Professor Kim Jung-bae will lead a richer performance by explaining the characteristics and points of appreciation of each part through the interpretation of the work.
The performance is organized by the Woojin Cultural Foundation and sponsored by the Korea Arts and Culture Council. Tickets are priced at 10,000 won for all seats.
