The final exhibition of the "K-Hanji Village Utilization Residency Program," organized by the Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) and promoted by the Jeonju Millennium Hanji Center, titled "The Infinity of Hanji: Beyond Heukseokgol Towards the World," will be held from the 9th to the 14th at the Yanghwaso-rok 2nd floor located in Heukseokgol.

This exhibition showcases the collaborative creative activities of six overseas artists from the United States, Taiwan, France, and China (KANG JOO LEE, HSIAO JU-YU, CHEN CHIA-YU, PIERRE FABRE, ZHOU LING, CHEN CHAO) who participated in the program with Jeonju Hanji artisans.

The Jeonju Cultural Foundation planned this residency program to promote the traditional values and excellence of Jeonju Hanji to the world and explore new possibilities of contemporary art using Hanji. The artists directly experienced the process of Jeonju Hanji production and conducted experimental work integrating their cultural sensibilities and artistic perspectives into Hanji as a medium.

The exhibition title, "The Infinity of Hanji: Beyond Heukseokgol Towards the World," reflects on the historical significance of Heukseokgol, the center of Jeonju Hanji production, symbolizing the potential for Jeonju Hanji culture to expand beyond borders to the world through contemporary art.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, stated, "This exhibition demonstrates that Hanji possesses infinite potential as a creative material for contemporary art beyond being a simple traditional paper," and expressed, "The Jeonju Cultural Foundation will continue to take the lead in enhancing the global brand value of Hanji."

The opening event of the exhibition will take place at 1:30 p.m. on the 9th.
