Jeonbuk University Hospital, Yesu Hospital, and Wonkwang University Hospital jointly hold training for infection control specialists

Jeonbuk University Hospital, the regional responsible medical institution for the Jeonbuk area, Yesu Hospital, the regional responsible medical institution for the Jeonju area, and Wonkwang University Hospital, the regional responsible medical institution for the Iksan area, jointly announced on the 24th that they had held training to strengthen the infection management capabilities of medical institutions in the Jeonbuk region.
The training was conducted at Yesu University in Jeonju for infection control personnel from small and medium-sized hospitals and long-term care hospitals in the Jeonbuk region, including the Jeonju and Iksan areas. The program consisted of theoretical education on the latest infection control guidelines and policy trends, as well as practical and discussion-based training focusing on cases occurring in medical institutions to enhance practical applicability.
The instructors included Professor Park Jin-hee from the Nursing Department of Woosuk University, Yoo Eun-sung, team leader of the infection control department at Wonkwang University Hospital, and Son Jung-ah, team leader of the infection control team at Yesu Hospital, who conducted education focusing on multi-drug resistant bacteria and infectious diseases management. Particularly, the training was operated in a small elite group format to enhance communication with trainees and provide tailored practical training.
Son Jung-ah, team leader at Yesu Hospital, was selected as a recipient of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Governor's Commendation for 'Meritorious Service in Preventing and Managing Infectious Diseases by 2025'. The Public Health Medical Department of Yesu Hospital stated, "We focused on sharing experiences among local infection control practitioners and enhancing on-site response capabilities," adding, "We will continue to promote education aimed at improving patient safety and the quality of regional healthcare through collaboration among responsible medical institutions."
