The documentary "Simeo," which sheds light on the artistic life of An Suk-seon, a master of Korean traditional narrative singing (Pansori) and a national intangible cultural heritage performer, will be aired on the 26th.

Sponsored by Namwon City and produced by Jeonju KBS, "Simeo" is scheduled to be broadcast on December 26th (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. through Jeonju KBS.

An Suk-seon, a native of Namwon, Jeollabuk-do, is known as a holder of the Manjeongje (highest rank) Chunhyangga, and is called the "Eternal Chunhyang" and "the greatest vocalist of our time." Starting with performances in Europe, she has been invited to stages in over 40 countries including the United States, Canada, and the Czech Republic, spreading the charm of Pansori.

This documentary follows her journey from childhood to becoming a renowned singer, capturing her life on stage and as an individual in depth. Namwon City expressed that through the broadcast, they aim to highlight An Suk-seon's 60-year artistic journey and reaffirm the cultural status of Namwon, the hometown of Pansori. They also plan to continue supporting the discovery of young traditional music talents and expanding the support for traditional music.
