The Jeonju Girls' High School Alumni Association (President Yoo Jung-hwa) held a 'Centennial New Year's Greetings Reception' at the Grace Hall on the 5th floor of the Jeonju Grand Hilton Hotel at 5 p.m. on the 13th. The event was attended by 420 alumni and their guests, shining brightly at the gathering.

The event was hosted by alumna Yoon Seung-hee (Class of '52), starting with President Yoo Jung-hwa's greetings, followed by speeches from the school principal, the alumni association president, and anecdotes from the guests. The program continued with a video showcasing precious moments of the alumni association's activities in 2025, a donation ceremony to the Jeonju Family Center, singing of the school song, cutting of a celebratory cake, and concluded the first part with a congratulatory song. The second part involved a dinner where alumni interacted and strengthened their bonds, bringing the event to a close.

President Yoo Jung-hwa expressed gratitude, stating, "The foundation that allowed Jeonju Girls' High School to produce over 33,000 talents who shine in various sectors of society was the effort and dedication of each and every alum. Over the past few years, many alumni actively participated in the centennial commemorative projects and events, providing great support for fundraising." Park Joo-hyun, the alumni association president, pledged, "We will do our best to gather strength together to ensure the success of the centennial commemorative projects."

Principal Lee Young-sook mentioned, "Projects such as the construction of a new auditorium and dining hall, and remodeling of dormitories are progressing smoothly," attributing it to the interest and support from Seo Geu-seok, the Superintendent of Education in North Jeolla Province.

Guests who attended the New Year's reception also conveyed congratulatory messages. Member of the National Assembly Ahn Ho-young wished for the successful execution of the centennial celebrations, saying, "I support the dedication and passion of alumni for their juniors and wish for the success of the 100th anniversary." Kim Gwan-young, the Governor of North Jeolla Province, expressed his hope for the meaningful results of alumni's passion and pledged full support from the province. Yoo Jeong-gi, Acting Superintendent of Education in North Jeolla Province, stated, "I will continue to support to contribute to the regional development as a prestigious girls' high school."
