The 7th Beautiful Education Community Awards ceremony, which honors the dedication of educational staff who have silently devoted themselves to the growth of students, was held on the 15th at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education.

This event was organized and hosted by the Korea Beautiful Community (Chairman Du Jae-gyun) to discover and widely publicize the hidden contributions of educational staff who have dedicated themselves in the field of education.

The award ceremony was attended by Yoon Mi-yeon, the chairman of the Jeonbuk School Operation Committee, as well as educational personnel, local officials, organization leaders, award recipients' families, and fellow educational staff who came to congratulate the winners.

Six educators shining in the field this year
The six honored educational staff members this year are Kim Sung-hee, a teacher at Jeonju Gijeon Middle School; Park Sang-ok, a vice principal at Muju Pure Dream High School; Jeon Seung-deok, principal of Jeonju Yanghyun Middle School; Song Gyu, principal of Buan Nam Elementary School; Song Won-yong, a teacher at Jeonju Banwol Elementary School; and Kim Jung-hee, an educational welfare officer at Gunsan Sanbuk Elementary School.

Teacher Kim Sung-hee created a school culture that practices carbon neutrality in daily life and led classroom innovation focusing on student-centered learning through a combination of free semester systems and experiential activities. She received praise for operating an educational curriculum that integrates environmental education and career guidance to nurture students' ecological sensitivity and future capabilities.

Vice principal Park Sang-ok has been dedicated to expanding alternative education and improving students' literacy for 23 years. He developed tailored programs for students at risk of dropping out and implemented education that awakens the potential of each student.

Principal Jeon Seung-deok fostered a democratic school culture where students, parents, and educational staff participate together. He devoted himself to creating a happy school for all members based on trust and consideration.

Educational welfare officer Kim Jung-hee realized substantial educational welfare through continuous case management for students in need of educational care and strengthening communication between teachers and parents. She established a foundation for schools and communities to grow together through tailored local resource coordination and community activities.

Principal Song Gyu guided students to develop self-directed capabilities through youth organization activities (Scouts). His contribution to students' future readiness through experiential education was highly praised.

Teacher Song Won-yong supported students' holistic growth through tailored education programs centered on physical education and arts. He took the lead in forming a positive school culture through education and life guidance that respects individual student characteristics.
