Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is seeking organizations to participate in the '2026 Disability Organization Rehabilitation Support Program' to expand the social participation of people with disabilities and strengthen the capacity of disability organizations.

The call for applications is open to non-profit private organizations and non-profit corporations related to people with disabilities registered in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, with a track record of public service activities of at least one year. However, organizations aiming for operational expenses, personnel expenses, or projects for asset acquisition are excluded from eligibility.

The application period for the call is until 6 p.m. on the 28th of this month, and interested organizations must visit the Disability Welfare Policy Division at the provincial office to submit their application documents.

Selected projects will be finalized through on-site inspections and deliberations by the provincial and local subsidy management committee. The results of the selection will be announced on the provincial website in March or notified individually.

The total number of registered people with disabilities in the province is 127,835, accounting for 7.4% of the total population. This is the second-highest rate in the country after Jeonnam, highlighting the increasing importance of disability welfare policies.

Last year, the province supported 47 disability organization rehabilitation support projects, and this year, it plans to support activities related to disability rehabilitation and social participation, such as education, counseling, and program operation, based on the selected projects after evaluation.

Lim Sung-ik, head of the Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province Disability Welfare Policy Division, expressed hope that through this call, practical and field-oriented rehabilitation support programs will be further activated. He stated, "I hope for the active participation of capable disability organizations for the substantial rehabilitation and independence of people with disabilities."
