The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education is operating job training programs to enhance the career education expertise of teachers in response to social and educational environment changes.

The provincial office announced on the 21st that it will conduct a "Career Education Expertise Enhancement Job Training" for middle and high school career counseling teachers, career task managers, and general teachers at the Jeonju University Education Training Institute from the 21st to the 23rd.

This training, which will be conducted over a total of 30 hours, aims to strengthen career guidance and college entrance counseling capabilities. It covers various topics such as the direction of career education in Jeonbuk, understanding the youth generation, career counseling, linking curriculum with career and academic planning, changes in college entrance systems, school-based career education through collaboration, and practical training in new industries.

In particular, the emphasis is on designing and sharing an educational process that can be practically applied, with participation from field teachers and external experts as instructors.

The provincial office hopes that through this training, teachers will restructure the curriculum around career development, and establish a school-level career education system that organically integrates curriculum classes and college guidance.

Choi Eun-i, the head of the secondary education department, stated, "Career education is a crucial process where students design their future and develop their capabilities," adding, "We will activate curriculum-centered career education to support students' dreams."
