Kim Jong-hoon, the head of the economic department in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, visited the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Seoul Scholarship Dormitory located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to inspect the facilities and meal conditions, as announced on the 21st.
This inspection was arranged to confirm the overall safety management status of the dormitory and to assess the on-site operational status to ensure that new residents can live in a safe and comfortable environment.
Deputy Head Kim inspected the building's structural safety, major facility maintenance, electrical, fire, and communication equipment conditions, as well as checked whether education for preventing major disasters was being conducted, the emergency contact system was in place, and crisis response manuals were being operated. He also visited the meal facilities to inspect hygiene management and menu composition, emphasizing special attention to student health management.
Furthermore, he held a meeting with the Cheongun Hall residents who are preparing for national exams and professional qualification exams, encouraging a scholarly environment.
Deputy Head Kim emphasized that the Seoul Scholarship Dormitory is a core space that supports the stable academic pursuits of students in the province, urging for thorough management of facilities and meals to ensure that students can live comfortably and securely.
Based on the inspection results, Jeonbuk Province will work on operational improvements and continue to promote the stable operation and welfare enhancement of the dormitory.
