Jeonju City discussed cooperation plans with local comprehensive social welfare centers to address welfare blind spots and early identification of households in crisis.
On the 21st, the city held a meeting with the directors and deputy directors of six comprehensive social welfare centers in Jeonju, sharing the major achievements of each welfare center from last year while also exchanging opinions on early response and practical support measures for households facing welfare crises.
Attending the meeting were around 20 people, including city officials such as Kim Hyun-ok, the head of the Welfare and Environment Department in Jeonju, as well as welfare center staff. They emphasized the need for strengthening welfare services on the ground, rather than just holding a simple event.
Based on the discussions at this meeting, the city plans to reevaluate the direction of welfare projects for the year 2026 and actively promote effective welfare initiatives and identification of households in crisis through quarterly civil-servant cooperation meetings.
A Jeonju City official stated, "Through close cooperation with welfare centers, we will continue to expand citizen-centered tailored welfare services without missing households in crisis outside the system."
