Nambu City (Mayor Choi Gyeong-sik) announced on the 21st that they will be implementing the '2026 Small Business Commercial Environment Improvement Project' to support local small business owners who are facing difficulties due to the stagnant domestic economy and persistently high interest rates.

This project will allocate a total of 320 million won to support the improvement of the interior and exterior of around 64 small business establishments, as well as the installation of essential facilities and equipment. The beneficiaries are small business owners who have been operating in Nambu City for over 3 years, and they can receive support of up to a maximum of 5 million won within 70% of the total project cost.

The support items include replacing outdoor signs, external painting and wall construction, awning installation, interior painting, flooring, lighting work, restroom improvement, and purchasing heating and cooling systems. However, items such as computers, appliances, furniture, and business goods are excluded.

The application period is from January 20th (Tuesday) to February 6th (Friday) in 2026, and applicants can visit the administrative welfare center in the district where their business is located to apply. The city plans to select beneficiaries based on evaluation criteria such as property tax payments, sales revenue, operating period, and residency period, in descending order of scores.

An official from Nambu City expressed hope that this project will help improve the actual business conditions of small business owners and revitalize the local commercial district, stating, "We hope for the interest and applications of many small business owners."
