Muju County is launching the 'Muju-style Youth Employment Project by 2026' to help address the labor shortage of local businesses and assist young people in settling down.

In this project, when small and medium-sized enterprises in Muju County hire young people, they will receive a monthly employment support fund of up to 1 million won per person for a maximum of 10 months. The target participants are companies located in Muju County with at least two regular employees enrolled in employment insurance.

Companies can apply by visiting the Population Vitality and Employment Team at Muju County Hall or by emailing (jiwan2@korea.kr) by January 30. Each company can support one person, but outstanding companies can expand support to up to two people.

The targeted young individuals for employment are unemployed residents of Muju County aged 18 to 49, and those residing in other areas can also apply if they move to Muju within one month of selection.

Kim Hyun-jeong, head of the Muju County Employment Team, stated, "This project will provide stable jobs for young people and vitality for businesses," adding, "We will continue to discover employment policies suitable for the reality of Muju and create a 'Muju where people want to live.'"

Information about the project can be found in the public notices section of the Muju County website (www.muju.go.kr), and inquiries can be directed to the Employment Team at 063-320-2061.
