2025 전주세계소리축제(이하 소리축제, 조직위원장 이왕준)가 오는 8월 7일까지 국악을 기반으로 전통과 현대를 아우르는 다채로운 음악과 공연을 선보이는‘찾아가는 소리축제’로 전북특별자치도 곳곳을 찾는다.

‘2025 찾아가는 소리축제’는 올해 지역 문화기획자와 공연 단체, 아티스트들과 협력하여 진행하는 프로젝트로 마련됐다. 관광지, 시장, 공원 등 지역민들이 오가는 다양한 공간에서 공연을 선보임으로써 일상 속 공연예술을 만날 수 있는 특별한 경험을 선사한다. 공연은 전북특별자치도를 기반으로 활동하며 각자의 영역에서 입지를 다져온 공연 단체와 아티스트들이 무대를 꾸민다.

첫 무대는 지난 5일 고창 석정리에서 열렸다. 국악예술단 고창에서 활동하는 소리꾼‘심세희’가 민요와 트로트를 넘나드는 무대를 선보였고,‘장소영&공성길’이 7080 포크송으로 무대를 장식했다. 특별히 고창 공음면 주민자치위원회의‘공음면 난타팀’이 무대에 올라 에너지 넘치는 공연으로 시원한 여름밤을 선사했다.

오는 13일 오후 2시에는 부안 수성당에 무대가 마련된다. 수성당에서 멀리 내려다보이는 임수도는 격포와 위도의 중간지점인데, 효녀 심청이가 아버지 심봉사의 눈을 뜨게 하려고 뛰어든 임당수라는 설이 구전으로 내려오고 있다. 이 공간성의 의미를 반영하여 부안 공연에는 심청을 콘셉트로 했다. 국내 최초의 판소리 합창단인‘전주판소리합창단’이 범피중류를 중심으로 구성한 심청가를 선보이며, 전북특별자치도립국악원 창극단 비상임단원으로 활동하고 있는 소리꾼‘강예빈’이 심청가 눈대목을 들려준다.

임실 오일장이 열리는 임실시장 특설무대에서도 공연이 펼쳐진다. 26일 오전 11시에는 전통음악과 서양 선율악기의 만남을 통해 장르의 경계를 넘나들며 선율의 아름다운 조화를 선보이는‘살롱드국악 선율모리’가 마법 같은 음악으로 지역민들을 만난다. 함께 무대에 오르는 소리꾼‘강나라’도 우리 소리의 멋을 가득 전할 예정이다.

8월 5일 오전 11시, 장수군 장수시장 특설무대에서는‘퓨전국악그룹 오감도’의 공연이 펼쳐진다. 장르를 넘나드는 실험적이고 독특한 음악으로 활기 넘치는 오일장의 분위기에 생동감을 더하고자 한다.

‘2025 찾아가는 소리축제’상반기 마지막 공연은 8월 7일 오후 3시, 정읍 JB아우름캠퍼스에서 진행된다. 이날은 음악그룹‘센티멘탈로그’가 판소리와 성악, 아쟁과 바이올린, 가야금과 피아노 등 서로 다른 전통의 소리를 조화시켜 하나의 감성으로 표현하는 무대를 선보인다. 뒤이어‘타악연희원 아퀴’가 전통 타악의 힘과 박진감 넘치는 무대로 공연의 피날레를 장식한다.

김희선 집행위원장은“올해‘찾아가는 소리축제’는 지역 기획자 및 아티스트 등과의 협업을 통해 지역과 더욱 밀접하게 연계하여 기획한 또 하나의 작은 축제다.”라며“지역과 더 가깝게 호흡하고 도민의 일상이 공연예술과 맞닿아 있는 경험을 할 수 있도록 다채롭게 구성하여 도민들을 찾아뵐 것”이라고 강조했다.

The 2025 Jeonju World Sound Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Sound Festival, organized by Chairman Lee Eung-jun) will present a diverse range of music and performances that encompass tradition and modernity based on Korean traditional music until August 7th, as a 'Mobile Sound Festival' that visits various locations in Jeollabuk-do.

The '2025 Mobile Sound Festival' is a project organized this year in collaboration with local cultural planners, performance groups, and artists. By showcasing performances in various spaces where local residents frequent, such as tourist attractions, markets, and parks, it offers a special experience of encountering performing arts in everyday life. The performances are staged by performance groups and artists who have established themselves in their respective fields, based in Jeollabuk-do.

The first stage was held in Seokjeong-ri, Gochang on the 5th. Sim Se-hee, a vocalist active in Gochang's traditional music group, presented a stage transcending folk songs and trot music, while Jang So-young & Gong Seong-gil decorated the stage with 70s and 80s folk songs. Particularly, the Gongeum-myeon Nanta Team of Gochang's Gongeum-myeon Community Council took the stage and delivered a high-energy performance, providing a refreshing summer night.

On the 13th at 2 p.m., a stage will be set up at Suseongdang in Buan. The legend of Im Dang-soo, who ran to open the eyes of his father, Shim Bong-sa, is passed down as a story at Imsudo, which overlooks from afar at Suseongdang, the midpoint between Gokpo and Wido. Reflecting the significance of this spatial context, the performance in Buan is themed around Shimcheong. The Jeonju Pansori Choir, the first pansori choir in Korea, will present a Shimcheong song centered on Beompi Jungryu, and vocalist Kang Ye-bin, who is active as a member of the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Traditional Music Institute's Changgeukdan troupe, will perform the Shimcheong song.

Performances will also unfold at the special stage at the Imil Market where the Imsil Oil Festival is held. On the 26th at 11 a.m., 'Salon de Gugak Melody' will present a beautiful harmony of melodies transcending genres through a meeting of traditional music and Western melodic instruments. Vocalist Kang Nara, who will also take the stage, is expected to showcase the charm of our traditional music.

On August 5th at 11 a.m., a performance by the fusion traditional music group Ogamdo will take place at the special stage of Jangsu Market in Jangsu County. Through experimental and unique music transcending genres, they aim to add vitality to the lively atmosphere of the Oil Market.

The first half of the '2025 Mobile Sound Festival' will conclude with a performance on August 7th at 3 p.m. at the JB Aurum Campus in Jeongeup. On this day, the music group 'Sentimental Log' will present a stage where they harmonize different traditional sounds such as pansori, vocal music, ajang, violin, gayageum, and piano into one emotion. Following them, 'Tatakyeon Hiwon Aqui' will decorate the finale of the performance with the power of traditional percussion and an exciting stage.

Executive Director Kim Hee-sun emphasized, "This year's 'Mobile Sound Festival' is another small festival planned through collaboration with local planners and artists to be more closely linked to the region." She added, "We will reach out to the residents in various ways to provide them with a diverse experience of connecting with performing arts in their daily lives."
