전북현대모터스FC(이하 전북현대)가 코리아컵 결승전 티켓 선점을 위해 나선다.

전북현대가 오는 20일 저녁 7시 전주월드컵경기장(이하 전주성)에서 강원FC와 ‘2025 하나은행 코리아컵’ 준결승 1차전을 맞붙는다.

올 시즌 안산 그리너스와 3라운드를 시작으로 대전하나시티즌(16강)과 FC서울(8강)을 차례로 꺾으며 4강에 진출한 전북현대는 강원FC와 대진이 성사됐다.

지난달 23일 K리그1에서 강원FC에 2대0 승리한 전북현대는 한 달여 만에 무대를 코리아컵으로 옮겨 다시 격돌하게 됐다.

지난 16일 전주성에서 대구FC를 3대0 승리하며 리그 22경기 무패를 이룬 전북현대는 이 기세를 이어 코리아컵 준결승 1차전도 승리해 결승전 진출의 승기를 잡겠다는 각오다.

전북현대는 최근 선제골 후 실점 허용 등의 양상으로 팀의 체력과 집중력 저하의 우려가 있었으나 이번 대구전 완승으로 말끔히 씻어내고 상승세를 더욱 끌어 올렸다.
