(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)이 운영하는 복합문화예술공간 팔복예술공장은 팔복예술공장 창작스튜디오 8기 입주작가 결과보고전 「사라지는 순간, 남겨진 형상」을 20일부터 2월 22일까지 A동 2층 전시실과 이팝나무홀, 야외 공간 등에서 개최한다.
‘창작스튜디오 입주작가 결과보고전’은 입주 작가들이 일정 기간 팔복예술공장에서 진행한 창작 과정과 결과물을 시민과 공유하는 자리로, 올해로 8회를 맞았다. 이번 전시는 회화, 설치, 영상 등 다양한 매체를 다루는 작가들의 작업을 통해 동시대 예술에 대한 이해를 높이고, 팔복예술공장 창작스튜디오의 역할과 기능을 대외적으로 알리고자 마련됐다.
전시 제목인 ‘사라지는 순간, 남겨진 형상’은 사라짐을 바라보는 각기 다른 시선에서 출발한다. 작가들은 지나온 시간과 기억, 감각이 현재와 뒤섞이며 새롭게 형상화되는 과정을 자신만의 언어로 풀어내며, 사라진 이후에도 남는 흔적과 사유의 지점을 작품으로 담아냈다.
이번 전시에는 김원, 박경진, 박성은, 양은경, 용하현, 장시재, 전지홍 등 총 7명의 작가가 참여한다. 참여 작가들은 지난 1년간의 입주 기간 동안 축적한 작업을 바탕으로, 사라짐의 순간과 그로부터 남겨진 감각을 담은 작품 105여 점을 선보인다.
최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “이번 전시는 입주 작가들이 팔복예술공장에서 보낸 지난 1년의 시간과 창작의 결과를 시민과 나누는 자리”라며 “앞으로도 작가들이 각자의 자리에서 창작 활동을 이어가며, 팔복예술공장에서의 경험이 의미 있는 기억으로 남길 바란다”고 전했다.

The Palbok Art Factory, operated by the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi), will be hosting the 8th round of the Palbok Art Factory Creation Studio 8th Resident Artists' Report Exhibition titled "Moments Disappearing, Shapes Remaining" from the 20th of January to the 22nd of February in the A Building 2nd floor exhibition hall, Ipapnamu Hall, and outdoor spaces.
The "Creation Studio Resident Artists' Report Exhibition" is an event where resident artists share their creative process and outcomes from their time at the Palbok Art Factory with the public.
