전주시가 주최한 ‘제14회 전주 기록물 수집 공모전’에서 1950년대 중·고등학교 시절 악단 활동 사진이 최우수 기록물로 선정됐다.

전주시는 지난 3월 4일부터 5월 30일까지 ‘전주와 당신의 학창 시절 기록을 찾습니다’를 주제로 기록물 공모전을 진행했으며, 총 43건(자료 620점)이 접수됐다. 이 가운데 박찬길 씨가 출품한 학창 시절 악단 활동 사진이 높은 주제 적합성과 희소성을 인정받아 최우수작으로 선정됐다.



박 씨는 전주공립농림중학교와 전주공업고등학교 재학 당시 △1949년 제3회 전북육상경기대회 준우승 기념 △1951년 6.25 동란 후 음악부 활동 △1952년 시가 행진 사진 등을 출품했다. 또한 1950~90년대 교육 현장을 담은 자료 100여 점도 함께 기증해 의미를 더했다.



이번 공모전에는 학창 시절 외에도 전주 관련 일반 주제로 다양한 자료들이 접수됐다. △1968년 코롬방 빵집에서 찍은 졸업사진 △1940년대 국어 교과서 56권 △1936년 전주여자공립보통학교 졸업 앨범 △일제강점기 전주 술독 등 전주의 역사를 담은 귀중한 자료들도 우수 평가를 받았다.

전주시는 시민 기증자에 대해 최소 5만 원에서 최대 50만 원 상당의 온누리상품권을 보상금으로 지급하고, 수집된 기록물은 전주시민기록관에 안전하게 보존·전시할 예정이다.

박남미 전주시 총무과장은 “시민들의 소중한 추억이 전주의 역사로 이어질 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊다”며 “기록문화 확산과 시민참여를 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Jeonju City conducted the record collection contest with the theme 'Finding Your School Days Memories in Jeonju' from March 4 to May 30, receiving a total of 43 submissions (620 points of data). Among them, a photo of band activities during the school years submitted by Mr. Park Chang-gil was recognized for its high relevance to the theme and rarity, and was selected as the best work.

Mr. Park submitted photos of △the 3rd Jeonbuk Track and Field Competition runner-up in 1949 during his time at Jeonju Public Agriculture and Forestry Middle School and Jeonju Industrial High School △music club activities after the Korean War on June 25, 1951 △marching band photo in 1952. He also donated over 100 materials capturing the educational scene from the 1950s to the 1990s, adding more significance.

In this contest, various materials on general topics related to Jeonju were also submitted, not just limited to school days. Graduation photos taken at Korombang Bakery in 1968, 56 volumes of Korean language textbooks from the 1940s, a graduation album from Jeonju Women's Public Normal School in 1936, and Jeonju sake bottles from the Japanese colonial era were highly praised for containing valuable historical information about Jeonju.

Jeonju City plans to compensate citizen donors with a minimum of 50,000 won to a maximum of 500,000 won worth of Onnuri gift vouchers, and the collected records will be safely preserved and exhibited at the Jeonju Citizen Records Center.

Park Nam-mi, head of the General Affairs Department of Jeonju City, said, "It is even more meaningful that citizens' precious memories are connected to Jeonju's history," and stated, "We will continue to expand the culture of record-keeping and citizen participation."
