덕과면 행정복지센터(면장 성월계)는 지난 23일 덕과초등학교 1·2학년 학생 14명이 센터를 방문해 공공기관의 역할을 배우는 체험활동을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이날 성월계 면장은 출생신고, 도로 보수, 복지 지원 등 면 행정복지센터에서 이뤄지는 다양한 업무를 어린이 눈높이에 맞춰 설명하고, 질의응답 시간을 통해 학생들과 소통했다.
체험에 참여한 한 학생은 “면사무소에서 이렇게 많은 일을 하는 줄 몰랐다”며 “나도 시민을 위해 일하는 공무원이 되고 싶다”고 말해 훈훈한 분위기를 자아냈다.
