전북교육청이 일반계 고등학생들의 진로 심화 학습을 지원하기 위해 전북대학교 등 도내 6개 대학과 협력해 2학기 ‘학교 밖 교육’ 주말강좌를 운영한다.

이번 강좌는 고교–대학 연계 학점인정 과목으로, 2~3학년 학생들이 대학 교수진의 지도를 받아 심화 학습을 경험할 수 있으며, 이수 시 고등학교와 대학 모두에서 학점으로 인정된다. 개설 과목은 △국립군산대: 정부와 행정에 대한 이해 △군산간호대: 간호 이해와 탐구 △우석대: 인공지능과 프로그래밍 탐구 △원광대: 대전환 경제탐구·특수체육 기초 실기 탐구·문학과 인문학적 상상력 △전북대: 삶과 도덕 심리학 △전주대: 첨단 물리학 등 총 8개다.

수업은 9월 20일부터 12월 13일까지 9주간 총 34시간 진행되며, 신청은 8월 20일 오후 8시부터 26일 오후 10시까지 공동교육과정 플랫폼(https://jbecredit.kr)을 통해 가능하다. 모집은 접수순 또는 면접(전주대)으로 진행된다.

전북은 교육부 시범사업으로 추진되는 고교–대학 연계 학점인정 제도에 참여한 전국 5개 시·도 중 가장 많은 과목을 개설했다. 최은이 중등교육과장은 “학생들이 주도적으로 교육과정을 설계하고 다양한 분야를 심화 학습할 기회가 되길 바란다”며 적극 지원 의지를 밝혔다.

The Jeonbuk Office of Education is collaborating with six universities in the province, including Jeonbuk National University, to operate weekend courses for general high school students in order to support their in-depth career exploration.

These courses are credited as high school-university collaborative courses, where 2nd and 3rd year students can experience in-depth learning under the guidance of university professors. Upon completion, students can receive credit recognition from both high school and university. The offered subjects include: understanding of government and administration at Gunsan National University, nursing understanding and exploration at Gunsan College of Nursing, exploration of artificial intelligence and programming at Woosuk University, exploration of transition economy, basic practical skills in special sports, literature, and humanistic imagination at Wonkwang University, life and moral psychology at Jeonbuk National University, and advanced physics at Jeonju University, totaling 8 subjects.

Classes will be held for 9 weeks from September 20 to December 13, totaling 34 hours. Applications can be made through the Joint Education Program platform (https://jbecredit.kr) from August 20 at 8 p.m. to August 26 at 10 p.m. Recruitment will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis or through interviews (Jeonju University).

Among the five cities and provinces participating in the high school-university collaborative credit recognition system, Jeonbuk has opened the most subjects as part of the Ministry of Education's pilot project. Choi Eun-i, the head of the Secondary Education Department, expressed a strong willingness to support the initiative, stating, "We hope this will be an opportunity for students to design their educational paths autonomously and deepen their learning in various fields."
