(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)은 ‘2025 AI 국악 크로스오버 작곡 공모전’에서 최종 5개 작품을 선정했다.
올해 공모전은 지난해보다 접수 건수가 세 배 가까이 늘어나며 그 어느 때보다 치열한 경쟁을 보였다. 심사에는 명창 왕기석, ‘슈퍼스타’ 작곡가 이한철, 영동세계국악엑스포 주제곡 작곡가 김백찬, 프로듀서 안호성이 참여해 작품의 대중성·창의성·AI 기술 활용도를 종합적으로 평가했다.
선정된 5개곡은 오는 30일 전주 팔복예술공장에서 진행되는 오프라인 청중평가를 통해 처음 공개된다. 시민 청중평가단은 현장에서 직접 곡을 감상하고 투표에 참여해 작품의 최종 순위를 결정한다.
올해는 특히 온라인 청중평가(8월 30일~9월 7일)를 새롭게 도입해 현장을 찾지 못하는 시민들도 참여할 수 있도록 했다. 지난해 오프라인 현장 평가에 한정됐던 방식에서 한 단계 확대한 것으로, 더 많은 시민이 국악과 AI 음악의 만남을 체험할 수 있도록 기회를 넓혔다. 온라인 참여자에게는 추첨을 통해 무료 음료 쿠폰도 제공된다.
최종 순위는 오프라인과 온라인 청중평가 결과를 합산해 대상·최우수상·우수상을 시상할 예정이다.
최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “올해 공모전은 지난해보다 세 배 가까운 작품이 몰리며 AI 음악에 대한 높은 관심을 보여주었다”며 “전문가들의 심사와 시민들의 직접 평가가 어우러져 국악과 AI 기술이 더욱 친근하게 다가오는 새로운 경험이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

Final 5 Songs Confirmed for AI Korean Traditional Music Crossover Composition Contest
The Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) has selected the final five pieces in the '2025 AI Korean Traditional Music Crossover Composition Contest.'
This year's contest saw a significantly increased number of submissions, nearly three times more than last year, resulting in fiercer competition than ever before. Renowned singer Wang Ki-seok, 'Superstar' composer Lee Han-chul, composer of the theme song for the Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo Kim Baek-chan, and producer Ahn Ho-seong participated in the judging process, evaluating the popularity, creativity, and utilization of AI technology in the works.
The selected five pieces will be unveiled for the first time through an offline audience evaluation at the Palbok Arts Factory in Jeonju on the 30th. This year, an online audience evaluation (August 30 to September 7) has been introduced to allow citizens who cannot attend in person to participate.
