(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)의 후원으로 진행되는 전주신진예술가지원 사업에 선정된 예술가들이 가을을 맞아 각기 개성 넘치는 무대와 전시로 관객을 만난다.

공연 분야 선정자 이희준 연출가는 청소년과 가족 단위 관객을 대상으로 연극을 선보이며, 또 다른 공연 분야 선정자 김윤하 연주자는 가야금과 자신의 이야기를 담은 북콘서트로 관객을 찾아간다. 시각 분야 문채원 작가는 우연한 행운과 상징을 매개로 불확실한 미래에 대해 사유한 전시를 선보인다.

공연 분야 선정자 이희준 연출가가 준비한 <한겨울의 오로라>는 정신병동을 배경으로 상담자와 내담자의 치료 과정을 따라가는 연극이다. 심리적 치유의 여정 속에서 인간 내면에 대한 질문을 던지는 드라마극으로 관객과 소통할 예정이다.

이희준 연출가는 “전주신진예술가지원 선정으로 첫 단독 연출을 맡아 프로덕션을 진행하게 되어 매우 긴장되고 설렌다”며 “공연이 관객들에게 치유가 될 수 있도록 끝까지 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

연극 <한겨울의 오로라>는 오는 18일과 19일 오후 5시, ‘우진문화공간 예술극장’에서 열리며 전석 2만원으로 예매는 NOL티켓을 통해 가능하다.

또 다른 공연 분야 선정자 김윤하 연주자는 가야금 연주와 함께 직접 쓴 글을 엮은 공연을 북콘서트 형식의 공연을 선보인다. <그곳에 닿기를>은 라이브 연주와 이야기가 어우러진 공연으로, 음악에 대한 갈망과 예술가로 살며 느낀 고민과 진심을 관객에게 진솔하게 전달한다.

김윤하 연주자는 “진심을 담은 이야기와 선율이 많은 이들의 마음에 닿을 그날을 기대하며 야심차게 준비하고 있다”며 “다가올 공연에 많은 관심과 기대 부탁드린다”고 전했다.

북콘서트 <그곳에 닿기를>은 오는 26일, 오후 5시 전주 ‘경원동샵’에서 열리며, 전석 1만 5천원으로 예매 및 문의는 010-4605-3177을 통해 가능하다.

시각 분야 선정자 문채원 작가는 전시 <포춘 텔러>를 통해 불확실한 미래에 대한 인간의 본능적 갈망과 이에 반응하는 감각을 탐구한다. 이번 전시는 요행을 바라는 마음에서 출발해 운세, 징조, 상징 등 미래를 점치는 다양한 사물과 의식의 흐름을 예술적 언어로 재구성해 불안한 현실을 해석하고 새로운 시선을 제안한다.

문채원 작가는 “전주신진예술가지원 선정으로 전시를 준비하면서 새로운 소재와 방식에 대해 고민하고 확장할 수 있는 좋은 기회였다”며 “이번 전시를 통해 작업적으로 조금 더 성장하는 기회가 되었으면 한다”고 말했다.

<포춘텔러>는 28일부터 11월 9일까지 ‘뜻밖의 미술관’에서 무료로 관람할 수 있으며, 부대 프로그램은 전주문화재단 누리집을 통해 추후 확인할 수 있다.

최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “10월과 11월에 걸쳐 이루어지는 전주신진예술가들의 작품 발표에 많은 관심과 응원 부탁드린다”며 “전주신진예술가지원 사업이 지역의 신진예술가들의 창작 역량을 한층 더 성장시키고 시민들과 소통하는 뜻깊은 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Selected artists participating in the Jeonju Emerging Artists Support Program, sponsored by the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi), are meeting audiences with their unique personalities through diverse performances and exhibitions as autumn approaches.

In the performance category, director Lee Hee-joon, one of the selectors, will present a play targeting teenagers and families, while musician Kim Yoon-ha, another selector in the performance category, will engage audiences with a concert featuring gayageum and a narrative concert based on her own story. Visual artist Moon Chae-won will showcase an exhibition contemplating the uncertain future through chance encounters and symbolism.

Director Lee Hee-joon's production, "Aurora of Winter," follows the therapy process between a counselor and a patient against the backdrop of a psychiatric ward. It is a drama that raises questions about the human psyche within the journey of psychological healing, aiming to communicate with the audience.

Lee Hee-joon expressed, "As a selected artist for the Jeonju Emerging Artists Support Program, taking on my first solo production, I am very nervous and excited. I will do my best until the end to ensure that the performance can be healing for the audience."

The play "Aurora of Winter" will be held on the 18th and 19th at 5 p.m. at the Wujin Cultural Space Art Theater, with all seats available for 20,000 won through NOL Ticket reservations.

Musician Kim Yoon-ha, another selector in the performance category, will present a concert intertwining gayageum performances with writings in a narrative concert format. "To Reach There" is a performance that combines live music and storytelling, conveying the longing for music and the sincere struggles and emotions felt as an artist to the audience.

Kim Yoon-ha said, "I am ambitiously preparing for the upcoming performance, hoping that the stories and melodies filled with sincerity will touch the hearts of many. I ask for a lot of interest and anticipation for the upcoming performance."

The concert "To Reach There" will take place on the 26th at 5 p.m. at Jeonju's Gyeongwon-dong Shop, with all seats available for 15,000 won, and reservations and inquiries can be made through 010-4605-3177.

Visual artist Moon Chae-won, the selector in the visual arts category, explores human instinctual desires towards the uncertain future and the senses responding to them through the exhibition "Fortune Teller." Starting from the desire for good fortune, the exhibition reconstructs various objects and flows of consciousness related to fortune-telling, omens, and symbols in artistic language, interpreting the unsettling reality and proposing new perspectives.

Moon Chae-won stated, "Preparing for the exhibition as a selected artist for the Jeonju Emerging Artists Support Program was a great opportunity to contemplate and expand on new materials and methods. I hope this exhibition will be an opportunity for further growth in my artistic work."

"Fortune Teller" will be available for free viewing from the 28th to November 9th at the 'Unexpected Art Museum,' and additional programs can be confirmed later through the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation's online platform.
