전주역사박물관은 오는 13일부터 내년 3월 15일까지 박물관 3층 기획전시실에서 ‘효자동화’ 기획전시를 개최한다.
이번 기획전은 효자로 유명한 동네인 전주시 효자동 곳곳에 남아있는 마을 이야기를 모아 ‘동화’라는 주제로 소개하면서 효자동을 다양한 각도로 조명한 것이 특징이다.
전시는 크게 △효자동의 유래, 산천, 인물, 변천 과정을 소개한 ‘효자동’ △어린이 동화로 각색해 효자동과 관련된 이야기 4편을 소개한 ‘효자동화(童話)’ △항공사진을 영상으로 편집해 1960년대 이후 급격히 변화하는 효자동의 모습을 확인할 수 있는 ‘효자동화(動畫)’ △도로명을 통해 효자동에 남아있는 마을 이야기를 소개한 ‘효자동화(洞話)’ △나만 아는 맛집, 자연, 역사 명소 등을 소개하는 ‘내가 쓰는 효자동화’ 등 총 5부로 구성된다.
특히 오는 16일에는 오후 2시부터 약 2시간 동안 김진돈 전주문화원장이 강사로 초청돼 ‘효자동 사람들’을 주제로 한 전시연계 강연을 펼칠 예정이다. 이날 강연은 △효자동은 언제부터 생겼을까? △효자동에서 활동한 사람은 누가 있을까? 등 평소 효자동에 대한 궁금증을 풀어주고, 전시에 대한 이해를 높이는 시간으로 채워질 예정이다.
하재식 전주시 국가유산관리과장은 “평소 무심코 지나쳤던 도로명주소에 담긴 효자동의 옛이야기를 마주하며 빠르게 발전한 효자동의 변화상 이면에 우리가 발을 딛고 살아가는 지역의 이야기를 잃어버리진 않았는지 돌아보게 된다”면서 “이번 전시를 통해 전통과 현대가 공존하는 효자동의 매력을 느껴보는 시간이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
