전북특별자치도는 장애인의 사회참여 확대와 장애인단체 역량 강화를 위해 ‘2026년 장애인단체 재활지원사업’에 참여할 단체를 공모한다.

공모 대상은 전북특별자치도에 등록된 장애인 관련 비영리 민간단체와 비영리 사단법인으로, 공익활동 실적이 1년 이상인 단체에 한해 신청할 수 있다. 다만, 단체 운영비나 인건비, 자산 취득을 목적으로 한 사업 등은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.

공모 신청 기간은 이달 28일 오후 6시까지이며, 도청 장애인복지정책과에 직접 방문해 신청 서류를 제출해야 한다.

선정된 사업은 현지 실사와 도 지방보조금관리위원회 심의를 거쳐 최종 확정된다. 선정 결과는 오는 3월 중 도 홈페이지를 통해 공표되거나 개별 통보될 예정이다.

도내 등록 장애인 수는 총 12만 7,835명으로, 도 전체 인구의 7.4%를 차지하고 있다. 이는 전남에 이어 전국에서 두 번째로 높은 비율로, 장애인 복지정책의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다.

이에 도는 지난해 47개 장애인단체 재활지원사업을 지원했으며, 올해 역시 심사를 거쳐 선정된 사업을 중심으로 장애인 재활과 사회참여 촉진을 위한 교육, 상담, 각종 프로그램 운영 등을 지원할 방침이다.

임성익 전북자치도 장애인복지정책과장은“이번 공모를 통해 현장 중심적이고 실천적인 재활지원사업이 더욱 활성화되길 기대한다”며 “장애인의 실질적인 재활과 자립을 위해 역량 있는 장애인단체들의 적극적인 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is seeking organizations to participate in the '2026 Disability Organization Rehabilitation Support Program' to expand the social participation of people with disabilities and strengthen the capacity of disability organizations.

The call for applications is open to non-profit private organizations and non-profit corporations related to people with disabilities registered in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, with a track record of public service activities of at least one year. However, organizations aiming for operational expenses, personnel expenses, or projects for asset acquisition are excluded from eligibility.

The application period for the call is until 6 p.m. on the 28th of this month, and interested organizations must visit the Disability Welfare Policy Division at the provincial office to submit their application documents.

Selected projects will be finalized through on-site inspections and deliberations by the provincial and local subsidy management committee. The results of the selection will be announced on the provincial website in March or notified individually.

The total number of registered people with disabilities in the province is 127,835, accounting for 7.4% of the total population. This is the second-highest rate in the country after Jeonnam, highlighting the increasing importance of disability welfare policies.

Last year, the province supported 47 disability organization rehabilitation support projects, and this year, it plans to support activities related to disability rehabilitation and social participation, such as education, counseling, and program operation, based on the selected projects after evaluation.

Lim Sung-ik, head of the Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province Disability Welfare Policy Division, expressed hope that through this call, practical and field-oriented rehabilitation support programs will be further activated. He stated, "I hope for the active participation of capable disability organizations for the substantial rehabilitation and independence of people with disabilities."
