국립군산대학교 RISE사업단은 26일 해양·수산 특성화 분야 인재 양성을 목표로 운영한 ‘2025학년도 Blue Field 프로그램’을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 해양·수산 관련 학과 재학생을 대상으로 산업현장 중심의 학습 기회를 제공하고, 전공 기반 실무 역량 강화와 진로 탐색을 지원하는 비교과 교육으로 기획됐다. 해양·수산 및 바이오 산업 분야 현직 전문가들이 멘토로 참여해 현장성과 전문성을 높였다.

멘토로는 화우당 김손빈 대표, 장은 부장, 영인바이오 최인정 대표, 해신 김운봉 대표, 고상한컴퍼니 이응서 점장, 군산시청 손정성 계장·강성준 주무관 등이 동행해 현장 견학과 직무·진로 멘토링을 진행했다.

참여 학생들은 해양·수산 관련 기업과 기관을 방문해 산업 동향 설명, 시설·공정 견학, 직무 이해, 질의응답 등을 통해 전공 이론이 현장에서 어떻게 적용되는지 직접 확인했다. 특히 단순 견학을 넘어 현장 실무자와의 소통을 강화해 직무 역량과 진로 방향 설정에 도움을 줬다는 평가다.

프로그램 참가 학생은 “현장을 직접 보고 들으며 전공 이해가 높아졌고, 진로를 구체적으로 고민하는 계기가 됐다”고 말했다. 유현희·허준욱 교수는 “지역 산업과 연계한 실질 경험을 통해 학생들의 전공 역량과 진로 경쟁력을 높이도록 프로그램을 지속 고도화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

국립군산대 RISE사업단은 앞으로도 지역 산업 수요를 반영한 산학연계 교육과 현장 중심 비교과 프로그램을 확대해 실무형 전문 인재 양성에 힘쓸 계획이다.

This program was designed to provide industry-focused learning opportunities for current students majoring in marine and fisheries-related fields, supporting practical skills enhancement and career exploration through non-curricular education. Current professionals in the marine, fisheries, and bio-industry sectors participated as mentors to enhance practicality and expertise.

Mentors such as Kim Son-bin, CEO of Hwaudang, Jang Eun, a manager, Choi In-jeong, CEO of Yeongin Bio, Kim Woon-bong, CEO of Haesin, Lee Eung-seo, manager of Gohsanghan Company, Son Jung-seong, a section chief at Gunsan City Hall, and Kang Seong-jun, a senior official, accompanied the students on field trips and conducted job and career mentoring sessions.

The participating students visited marine and fisheries-related companies and institutions to understand industry trends, observe facilities and processes, gain insights into job roles, and engage in Q&A sessions to directly witness how their academic theories are applied in real-world settings. Beyond mere field trips, the enhanced communication with industry practitioners was praised for helping strengthen job skills and career direction setting.

One student who participated in the program stated, "Seeing and hearing directly from the field has deepened my understanding of my major and has become an opportunity to think more concretely about my career path." Professors Yoo Hyeon-hee and Heo Jun-wook expressed their commitment to further enhancing the program to increase students' professional skills and career competitiveness through substantial experiences linked to regional industries.

The National University of Gunsan's RISE Project Team plans to continue focusing on cultivating practical professional talent by expanding industry-academic collaborative education and field-centered non-curricular programs that reflect regional industrial demands.
