예술성과 대중성 두 마리 토끼를 잡기 위한 전주세계소리축제의 올해 노력은 ‘만원 관중’이 답했다.
낮에는 실내 공연 중심으로, 밤에는 야외 공연을 통해 아이부터 어른까지 온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 공연들로 라인업을 구성했다.
15일부터 17일까지 매일 오후 6시 30분부터 10시경까지 한국소리문화의전당 놀이마당에서는 <소리썸머나잇>을 통해 전통음악과 월드뮤직, 재즈 등 다양한 장르의 다채로운 음악으로 여름밤을 화려하게 수놓았다. 전 공연은 무료로 진입 장벽을 낮췄다.

16일에는 순창군 금과면 대장마을 들녘에서 불리워진 들노래를 복원한 <순창농요 금과들소리>로 첫 무대가 시작됐. 물 품는 소리, 모 찌는 소리 등 선조들의 귀한 소리가 관객들에게 색다른 음악을 선사했으며, 사이프러스 전통음악에 현대적 색채를 가미해 독특한 스타일의 음악을 선보이는‘사이프러스 <무슈 두마니>’공연으로 흥겨우면서도 환상적이고 낯선 사운드를, 재즈보컬리스트 나윤선과 피아니스트 벵자멩 무쎄의 하모니가 돋보이는 <나윤선&벵자멩 무쎄 듀오>는 더할 나위 없이 훌륭했다는 평가가 쏟아졌다. 이날의 마지막 공연은 전통음악과 팝 스타일을 버무려 감각적인 ‘퓨전’으로 빚어내는 <서도밴드>가 대미를 장식했다.
