전주교육대학교(총장 박병춘)는 지난 10월 21일부터 23일까지 전주부설초등학교 5학년 학생 75명을 대상으로 한복문화 체험교육을 실시했다.

이번 프로그램은 국립대학 육성사업의 일환으로 기획되었으며, 지난 10월 ‘한복이음교육’을 이수했던 전주교대 1,2,3학년 예비교사들이 보조강사로 함께 참여해 교육실습과 연계하여 추진되었으며, 한복의 역사, 구성, 종류 등에 대해 배우고, 형형색색의 평복과 궁중복을 직접 입어보며 ‘입는 순서’, ‘고름 매기’, ‘한복 정리하기’ 등의 실습과 함께 ‘한복 예절’을 익혀보는 순서로 진행되었다.

체험에 참여한 학생들[전주부설초 5학년 1반 김하름, 박정후]는 “유치원 이후로 한복을 입어볼 기회가 거의 없었다가 지난 경주 수학 여행에서 신라시대 한복을 체험하면서 우리 한복이 아름답다고 생각하게 되었는데, 오늘 한복체험을 통해 우리가 전통한복이라 생각하는 한복이 조선시대 후기에 형태가 완성되었음을 알게 되었고, 한복의 역사와 아름다움 멋에 대해서 좀 더 알게 되었고 다양한 궁중한복을 입어 볼 수 있어 신기하고 즐거웠다”고 말했다.

보조강사로 참여한 전주교대 예비교사들[김민하 체육교육 2학년, 엄익종 실과교육과 1학년]도 최근 “한류 열풍으로 국내 뿐 아니라 해외에서도 한복에 대한 관심이 상당하지만 한편으로는 중국의 동북공정의 일환으로 인한 한복 란 또한 지속되고 있어 미래세대를 위한 한복교육이 더욱 중요하다 생각하여 한복이음교육에 참여하게 되었는데, ‘한복’은 ‘놀이’와 ‘예절’을 융합한 ‘전통문화예술체험교육’ 콘텐츠로서 매력적이라 생각하게 되었다. 지속적으로 참여하고 관심을 기울여야하겠다는 생각을 갖게 되었다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

최경은 전주교육대학교 실과교육과 교수는 ”조선왕조 500년 역사를 갖고 있는 우리 전주는 전통과 문화가 잘 보존 된 곳으로 그중에서도 우리 옷. 한복은 단순히 입는 옷을 너머 입고 보고 즐기는 문화와 예술을 아우르는 장르 이상이 되었다“고 말했다.

이어 ”미래세대를 위한 교육을 담당할 예비교사들의 한복이음교육이 매우 중요하고 필요하다고 생각하여 2022년 어린이날 황학어린이대잔치 한복체험을 시작으로 2022년 국립대학 육성사업의 일환으로 한복이음교육을 추진, 올해 4년째 예비교사를 대상으로 한복교육, 화보영상촬영 홍보 등 한복체험교육을 실시해오고 있다“고 밝혔다.

그는 ”이뿐만 아니라 초등학생들과, 지역 사회아동센터 어린이, 경로당 어르신들에게 다양한 한복체험을 기회를 제공해오고 있다.며 한복에 대한 올바른 이해와 긍정적 인식을 바탕으로 일상에서 한복문화를 향유할 수 있는 기회를 지속적으로 제공하고자 한다“고 하였다.

이번 프로그램은 전북특별자치도 초등학생을 대상으로 한복문화 체험교육을 실습함으로 우리 한복의 저변 확대를 도모하고 있으며, 오는 12월에는 전주교육대학교 미술실과관 의생활교육실습실에서 지역 어르신을 대상으로 추가 체험이 진행될 예정이다.

박병춘 총장은 “이번 프로그램을 통해 지역사회와 학교 간의 유기적인 연계를 강화하고, 학생들이 전통문화에 대한 이해와 경험을 통해 우리 문화의 자부심을 느끼며 성장하길 바란다”고 전했다.

Jeonju National University of Education (President Park Byung-chun) conducted a hanbok cultural experience education program for 75 fifth-grade students from Jeonju Subsidiary Elementary School from October 21st to 23rd.

This program was planned as part of the National University Cultivation Project, and it was carried out with the participation of prospective teachers from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of Jeonju University of Education who had completed the 'Hanbok Sewing Education' in October. The program included learning about the history, composition, and types of hanbok, trying on various styles of hanbok such as everyday wear and royal court attire, and practicing aspects like 'putting on in order,' 'tying the strings,' and 'organizing hanbok,' as well as learning about 'hanbok etiquette.'

Students who participated in the experience, such as Kim Harem and Park Junghu from the 5th grade class 1 of Jeonju Subsidiary Elementary School, expressed their enjoyment and amazement at being able to try on various royal court hanbok and deepen their understanding of hanbok's history and beauty.

Prospective teachers from Jeonju University, such as Kim Min-ha, a 2nd-year Physical Education student, and Eom Ik-jong, a 1st-year Practical Arts Education student, shared their impressions, emphasizing the importance of hanbok education for future generations in the context of the growing interest in hanbok domestically and internationally.

Professor Choi Kyung-eun from the Department of Practical Arts Education at Jeonju National University of Education highlighted the significance of hanbok as a genre that goes beyond being just clothing, encompassing culture and art to be enjoyed and appreciated.

The program aims to promote the expansion of hanbok culture by providing hanbok experience education to elementary students in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. Additionally, further experiences are planned for the elderly in the local community in December.

President Park Byung-chun expressed his hope that through this program, there will be enhanced organic connections between the local community and schools, allowing students to grow by feeling pride in our culture through understanding and experiencing traditional culture.
